About Elizabeth

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor, a certified Lifespan Integration therapist, and a registered member of BACP, based in Bristol and offering online therapy.

My work is relational, depth-oriented and trauma-informed, drawing on psychoanalytic, transpersonal and body-based approaches. I work with adults and adolescents, and may integrate Lifespan Integration, Feeding Your Demons and psychological type where this feels appropriate in our work together.

I have completed Lifespan Integration Level 1 and Level 2 training. My practice is also shaped by embodied and contemplative ways of knowing, including more than 20 years of yoga and dance meditation, and by Buddhist perspectives that emphasise presence, compassion and inner transformation.

Who I work with

I work with adults and young people, and offer a warm, collaborative, and reflective space. People often come to me when an old way of being no longer fits, but the new way hasn’t yet arrived. Some people come with a specific issue such as depression, stress or anxiety or life changes; others come with feelings of being stuck, uneasy, or with a sense of longing. I bring both my professional and lived experience of these landscapes. Whether you’re looking for a space to explore something tender or to reorient from something difficult, we can go gently and at your pace.

🧠 NeurodiversityI welcome people who have been diagnosed, identify as or suspect they may be neurodivergent (for example, autistic, ADHD, or dyslexic). Neurodivergence is part of natural human variation, not something to fix. I offer my expertise and skills as we work together at your pace to explore issues nuanced to the Neurodivergent community safely, as they arise.

🌈 Gender, Sexuality & Relationship DiversityI welcome clients who are queer, trans, non-binary, questioning, and/or exploring their identity. I also work with those in non-traditional or non-monogamous relationships. I’m skilled at holding space for conversations about sex, desire, intimacy, and identity that are safe, reflective, and curious, particularly where these may be shaped by shame, silence, or past harm.

🧘 Faith & Spiritual Practice & CommunitiesI welcome conversations about faith, spiritual practice, and meaning-making. Like any journey of transformation, these paths can carry both light and shadow, offering moments of deep healing as well as challenge. This is a space to explore your experiences with gentleness and compassion.

🌍 Identity, Migration & DecolonisationAs an immigrant and someone who grew up between cultures, I understand some of the complexities that come with questions of belonging, identity, and home. Whether you feel like an outsider in dominant culture, institutions, or your own family, you are welcome here, in all your complexity.

♿ Chronic Illness & DisabilityI offer space for clients living with chronic health conditions, pain, fatigue, and disability. I offer a non-judgmental, flexible & supportive space that honours your capacity and needs.

Wherever You’re Coming From
& Whatever Brings You Here,
You are welcome

About Imaginal

The word imaginal speaks to the inner world,
the place of images, symbols, and our felt sense,
where patterns emerge
and where change begins.
It’s also inspired by imaginal cells.Hidden inside every caterpillar are tiny cells,
that carry the genetic blueprint for the butterfly.
During metamorphosis, it’s these cells
that quietly guide the transformation.
Therapy can be like that.
A space for something new to take shape.
When you’re no longer quite who you were,
but not yet who you’re becoming.
A place safe enough to soften,
and see what might emerge.

Influences

These are some of the books and writings that shape how I think and work. They’re voices and perspectives I return to for inspiration, grounding, and challenge. Some may feel familiar, others less so — together they form part of the influences that support my practice.Where possible links go to Bookshop.org — an ethical alternative that supports independent bookshops. Psychological Type

Psychological Type offers a way of understanding the natural patterns in how we perceive, relate, decide, and engage with the world. Grounded in Jungian psychology and developed through tools like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), it helps illuminate both our strengths and areas for development — not to label or limit us, but to invite deeper self-awareness and integration.Exploring type can help us make sense of inner tension, relationship dynamics, and life transitions.Where appropriate, I integrate psychological type into therapeutic work as a way of fostering self-understanding, self-compassion, and the unfolding of new possibilities. Please let me know if this is something that you are interested in.

Lifespan Integration

A gentle body-based way of workingLifespan Integration is a gentle therapeutic approach that can help the nervous system recognise that difficult experiences are in the past, and that you are here now, in the present.Sometimes we may understand something with our mind, but still find that our body, emotions, or patterns of relating seem to respond as though an earlier experience is still ongoing. Lifespan Integration offers a careful and compassionate way of working with this, supporting greater integration, steadiness, and ease over time. How it worksLifespan Integration works with a timeline of your life, helping your system register that time has moved on.What it may help withLifespan Integration may be helpful for people living with the effects of trauma, early relational difficulties, anxiety, overwhelm, dissociation, or long-standing patterns that feel hard to shift through insight alone. It may also be helpful if you:

  • Would like to build a stronger sense of self

  • Understand your patterns, but still feel stuck in them

  • Sometimes feel as though you are responding from a younger part of yourself.

  • Want an approach that includes the body and nervous system, not only talking

How I work with itMy overall way of working is depth-orientated, relational, and trauma-informed. We always move at your pace, with care, consent, and attention to what feels manageable and supportive. For some people, Lifespan Integration may be the way we work together. For others, it may sit alongside talking therapy and other ways of working.TrainingI have completed Lifespan Integration Level 1 and Level 2 training. I may integrate Lifespan Integration where it feels appropriate and agreed within the therapy. If you’re curious about whether Lifespan Integration might be a good fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

Feeding Your Demons

“With a loving mind, cherish more than a child
The hostile gods and demons of apparent existence,
And tenderly surround yourself with them”
— Machig Labdrön (1055 – 1145)

Feeding Your Demons is a guided process for working with the parts of ourselves that feel stuck, overwhelming, or in conflict. Rooted in Tibetan Buddhist wisdom and adapted for modern life by Lama Tsultrim Allione, the practice invites you to meet these demons not with fear or force, but with curiosity, compassion, and care.Rather than trying to get rid of difficult feelings, thoughts, or behaviours, the process encourages dialogue, helping you uncover not just what these parts want but also what they need and how they may be transformed. It can be a powerful support for healing and self-understanding.You can find out more about Feeding Your Demons from the Tara Mandala website. There are several ways to explore this work, and you’re welcome to find the pace and setting that feels right for you. I am a Feeding Your Demons certified facilitator and workshop leader.

Open Sessions

I also run a monthly donation-based (pay what you can) online Feeding Your Demons session through Tara Mandala, which you are very welcome to join.

    Closed Groups

Please contact me if you are interested in joining a weekly Feeding Your Demons Closed Group.

The group will dive deeply into the process, use art and other modalities and spend time working with allies.

We will work together online for a block of 6 weeks at a time.

    Individual, Relational & Group Work

Some people prefer to explore the work privately at first, before bringing it into a group setting. I offer individual Feeding Your Demons work within my one-to-one therapy practice. This can be a gentle way to work at your own pace, with more time and individual support and reflection.

Alongside individual sessions, I also work with:

    • Couples
    • Groups & organisations
  • Workshops
  • If you’d like to explore what might be most supportive, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
